John L. Amstutz

Dr. John L. Amstutz has served as a pastor, missionary and professor, teaching at LIFE Bible College (now Life Pacific University), The King’s College and Seminary (now The King’s University) and Southern California College (now Vanguard University). John has served Foursquare Missions as an assistant to the director, In-service Leadership Training (ILT) coordinator, and leadership trainer. He continues to work as a missions consultant and is currently is a member of the Missions Committee. He is the author of Disciples of All Nations outlining Foursquare’s four-stage developmental missions strategy, and Making and Multiplying Disciples, the first of four books further developing each of the four stages.

 John is the founder of the Central Valley School of Ministry where he continues to serve as an instructor and a member of the Administrative Committee. He is also a member of the Foursquare Education Commission. John lives in Fresno, CA, and with his wife, Dorene, serve as elders and mentors at Valley Christian Center. They have four married children, ten grandchildren and one great grandchild.

Brian Cain

Senior Pastor, Grace Place Clovis


Brian is the Lead Pastor of Grace Place church in Clovis, California and has extensive experience in youth, young adult and adult ministries. He currently serves as the Board President of the Central Valley School of Ministry and also a member of the teaching faculty. Brian has been in full-time ministry since 1987 and has been a licensed minister with the Foursquare Church since 1989.  With a Bachelors degree in Psychology from Southern California College and a Masters degree in New Testament theology from Mennonite Brethren Biblical Seminary, Brian brings both a theological perspective and a people sensitive approach to ministry. Brian and his wife, Carolyn, have been married since 1991 and have 5 children, Samantha, Michaela, Tessa, Eliana and the man-child, Levi.

David Chumley

Executive Director, Central Valley School of Ministry


David is the Executive Director of Central Valley School of Ministry, and has been a professor with the school since 2005. He also taught at East Bay School of Ministry and is currently an adjunct professor at Life Pacific University.  David has been in full time ministry since 1988, serving as a youth pastor, church planter, senior pastor, camp director, and Foursquare district assistant supervisor.

David and his wife, Lucinda, have three adult daughters and one son-in-law.  They are also the pastors of a new church plant in Fresno called King's Cross Foursquare church.

Ryan Davis has served in Christian ministry for eleven years. He and his wife Christen were the High School Youth Pastors at Valley Christian Center for eight years, until August 2011, when they were sent along with their leadership team to launch Life Community Church. Ryan has his Masters in New Testament Theology from Fresno Pacific University Biblical Seminary. They have four children - Logan, Sophia, Luke, and Leom.

Tim Geddert

Tim Geddert is Professor of New Testament at Fresno Pacific University (Biblical Seminary) in Fresno, California. He brings to his teaching and writing a wide variety of experiences that give him insights into God’s work around the world: church planting and pastoral leadership; three years of immersion into Scottish culture and church life during doctoral studies; five years of educational and pastoral ministry in Germany; numerous opportunities to preach and teach around the world. Now that most of their children have left home, he and his wife, Gertrud, keep filling their home with international exchange students and adults, foster children and numerous guests.

Tim has written books on bible interpretation, ecclesiology and ethics, both in English and in German. He wrote the commentary on Mark for the Believers Church Bible Commentary Series, and has written several Adult Bible Study Quarterlies for Faith and Life Press.

David Moore is the M.G. Robertson Professor of Pneumatology and the Director Academic Affairs for The King’s University, Northern California. He also serves as the Lead Pastor of Jackson Street Church in Escalon, California. Previously, David has served as a professor at Life Pacific College, Regent University, and Church of God Theological Seminary. David has authored a number of publications, including The Shepherding Movement and The Charismatic Century, which he co-authored with Jack Hayford. His scholarly work has a large focus on the history of the Charismatic and Pentecostal movements. David is married to Patty. They have three children, six grandchildren, and two great grandchildren. David loves film, music, playing guitar, and reading.

Fr. Carlos Raines

Dean, St. James Anglican Cathedral, Fresno, CA


Fr. Carlos is the Dean of St. James Anglican Cathedral in Fresno, California. He received a Masters of Divinity from Trinity College at the University of Toronto. His primary focus was on Early Church History. Fr. Carlos is a well respected leader in the Fresno area, even among leaders and church members of other denominations. He is a humble and gracious leader, who has been influenced by the Charismatic Renewal and believes in the present activity of the spiritual gifts. Since coming to St. James Cathedral in 1998, Fr. Carlos is revitalizing the Cathedral congregation through the introduction of solid discipleship programs, healing ministry and outreach to the local community and abroad through missionary and service work. Carlos is married to Carol and they have 3 grown children.
